The 2160p versions have an aspect ratio of 16:9 (black bars are burnt in). The 720p version for s01e01 (the only one I checked) has an aspect ratio of 2.40:1.

I have never watched anything from the Star Trek franchise. Can I watch this and not feel lost?
I haven't watched it, but if it's like most of these recent Star Trek TV spinoffs, it should be self-contained. No doubt a knowledge of the franchise would enrich the experience, but I doubt there are many young people today who have gone back and watched the original 60's TV series. If you want, you could get a crash introduction to Star Trek via Wikipedia or some of the fan sites.

Since This is a 'Prequel' to 'TOS' (The Original Series (Classic) ), I'd Say Sure.. (Timeline Wise) U Can DEFINITELY Start Here n Not Feel Lost. But If You're One of Those PPL Who CAN'T Watch Something n NOT Feel Irritated or Curious, or (as u said 'Lost') Then Def Start with TOS!! Hope Tht Helps..LoL 🙂

What does (HDR10Plus.DV) mean? Does the video file include both HDR10+ and Dolby Vision and one is detected and played automatically or are both put on top of each other? Sorry PSA rips are the first time for me seeing them together in one video file.
A simple explanation would suffice, I'll probably figure the details out on my own.
If you have a DV TV, it'll play that, otherwise, it'll fall back to HDR 10+ then HDR 10.
Normal HDR works for me but it appears anything that has DV on it, just doesn't work (screen flickers in and out). So, this doesn't work for me.
Anyone have luck with Kodi (android) and an 4 year+ old LG oled tv?
