Season 2 seems better than season 1 so far.
Definitely agree. Season one was billed by some reviewers as a slower take on Star Trek, and I wasn't really pumped for this season. But they really changed up the tempo, and I'm hoping that the story shift (no spoilers!) means less money building out expensive sets, and more money on special effects.

Episode 10 1080p is literally available at every one of the eleven hosters except Mega, and ep. 9 at 8 of the 11, and you’re asking Valhalla to go to the effort of re-uploading to Mega just so you can get it from your favorite site rather than making a tiny bit more effort yourself by getting it at one of the others? Have I summed up what you are asking correctly? You don’t see what’s wrong with this picture?

Out there in Scene-Land ‘Internal’ means it is considered to be an improvement over the initial release.
The facility is there because dupes are not permitted and so the Internal tag allows for a follow-up release if there’s a genuine reason for it.
However, in PSA-Land an Internal release does not follow those parameters – here it can either mean better or worse – but there will always be a valid reason for it.
So their source being Internal is a good thing… chill 🙂

Ah, good to know. I was holding out for the repack. Any hints for knowing with future episodes if a repack will be forthcoming? I assume at least that if the source is GHOST or AMRAP, then a repack can be expected, whereas if it’s CiELOS, that will likely be it. Is that about right?
Edit: I now see that it is a little more complicated than that, as GHOST also has repacks that are used, and that PSA did a repack from the same source.
If it’s from good amazon source with 23.976 fps and multi subs then it’s good to go .

Is this series stand-alone(in story anyway) enough that we could enjoy it without watching Star trek of series, TNG and whatever chronological set before? I have sparse recollection of previous stuff, that’s why asking >_>
Watch few episodes (just for getting into the characters of the main cast) if possible, but then see the 4 movies atleast in it’s order.
Doc Maks suggestions would indeed be helpful, but in my opinion it works just fine as a stand-alone, even if you just read a summary of the character Picard and of the Romulans, if your “sparse recollection” does not include this information.The Enterprise itself barely gets mentioned, at least so far. If you like space sci-fi, however, you should do the movies for their own sake. Though I’m big fan of the original series, I myself only watched a few episodes of the sequels.

Not the 80s ones (they are more than 4 btw). I meant Star Trek: Generations (1994), Star Trek: First Contact (1996), Star Trek: Insurrection (1998) and Star Trek: Nemesis (2002).

It has nothing to do with Start Trek TNG or any of the other offshoots.
The Next Generation is set in a utopian future where mankind has grown past war, conflict, racism, capitalism etc. etc. and Captain Picard is the shining example of this.
The Picard series is set in a world directly comparable with ours battling issues of immigration and genocide being debated on Fox News.
You’re probably better not watching The Next Generation because it will not give you any relevant information about the character or the universe in Picard.

REPACK: Amazon CBS FPS is 24fps from CBS. PV FPS is correct 23.976. More subs on PV. This will happen every week. – NTB (Source Uploader)
Framerate is not the only reason for this repack. It also replaces Forced Hardsubs for non-English dialogue with a soft subtitle stream. – NTG

The next episode or season spoilers, which appear at end of the show before end credits are removed in the Repacked versions. Also, there are more subtitles (different languages and types) and has chapters marked properly along with chapter titles. Personally i prefer not knowing and it’s even more annoying if u are binge watching.

My name is Caffeinedependent & I’m an addict. Apart from coffee, this is my other vice. My Internet’s been screwed for more than a week, but PSA offers so much quality content that us working folk can’t possibly keep up. @ProdigalX Not really an addict, but trying to make light of a situation that has been very frustrating – not due to inability to download series, but more to the fact that my business relies on decent connectivity. So my income has been drastically impacted. Ironically now that the Internet is back we are being subjected to “loadshedding”. This involves having our power cut at certain times of the day to ease the load on the grid – currently around 6 hours per day. So the frustration continues.

Well, he’s 79, playing 94. Having just seen him guest on Stephen Colbert’s show a couple of nights ago, it looks to me like they’ve aged him up a little on the show, with baggier jowls and eyes than he has in real life.
For me it’s the weakness in his once powerful voice.

My Internet is so screwed at the moment due to damaged undersea cable that downloading anything is a painful experience, but I made an exception for Picard. Two and a half hours to download one episode and all I can say is it was worth it. This is how you do a pilot episode (Jon Favreau, George Lucas and Dave Filoni take notes).

Having watched all of The Mandalorian my feeling at the end was ” …. and ?” Very disappointed and cannot for the life of me understand the hype surrounding it. Picard on the other hand hit the ground running and whilst it has dipped a bit, it is far more engrossing and has one thing The Mandalorian lacked: a proper story line.

I took offence because of an Irishman stereotype – that we’re only good craic/company when on the piss – everyday 🙄. Of course us Irish blokes love a scoop or 10, but we get battered by stereotypes by folks who think it’s fair game because it’s acceptable practice by others & that we’re all short-fused, wife-beatin pisshead scrappers on a daily basis.
Those were legitimate stereotypes for many Irishmen many decades ago here in Ireland & afar , though. Hi, i was wondering if I can start this series without watching previous star trek movies or series and if it is necessary to watch the previous content, Will movies be enough if I somehow got my hands on their good quality on net. ( I can’t ask PSA to upload all of it here now can I…)
This isn’t really a discussion forum, but I’ll answer your question. I feel like without watching Star Trek: The Next Generation and its movies (particularly Nemesis) you won’t have the character investment they expect.
In addition, from previews I know that a character from the later seasons of Voyager is present, but to what size her role is I don’t know. The description on this page also mentions the destruction of Romulus, shown in the graphic novel that proceeds Star Trek (2009).
Thanks for the opinions…I have watched the kelvin timeline movies and I liked those ..I think I should give it a try for 2-3 episodes as @ScottJ said.. maybe I will hold on. Nowadays its getting difficult to decide with new shows coming up pretty fast and so the movies especially with PSA quality.. Its like marijuana addiction not that I have tried but It must feel pretty much the same

That aside, Wishdrive still managed the cheek of semi-requesting PSA to upload a shitload of Star Trek releases, so that Picard makes sense to him: “( I can’t ask PSA to upload all of it here now can I…)” 🤡
The essential back story is fairly well explained, but there are a few visuals involving aliens and spaceships that might be meaningless. I’ve not seen anything of Picard and another key character since STNG finished in 1994/5 (I’ve never seen the movies) and my memory of details is very basic. It was enough. I’d say give the episode a try and see how you handle it.
